Entry Requirements

We believe nutrition education should be accessible. Most of our courses have no formal entry requirements - just motivation and commitment to learn.

General Requirements

For most courses, you don't need any formal qualifications. Our courses are designed to take you from beginner to practitioner level, teaching everything you need along the way.

What we do ask for:

  • Good English skills - You'll need to read study materials and write assignments in English
  • Basic computer access - You'll need internet access and the ability to use email and download documents
  • Commitment to learn - Self-directed study requires motivation and discipline

Course-Specific Requirements

Certificate in Nutrition & Health

No prerequisites. This foundation course is open to anyone interested in learning about nutrition. It's designed as an entry point for complete beginners.

Professional Diploma in Nutritional Therapy

No formal prerequisites. While prior study in biology or health sciences can be helpful, it's not required. The course covers all necessary foundations.

We recommend this course for those who:

  • Are serious about training as a professional nutritional therapist
  • Can commit to 10-12 hours per week of study over 2-3 years
  • Have good written communication skills

Diploma in Nutritional Consultancy

No formal prerequisites. Part One of this course is equivalent to the Certificate in Nutrition & Health, so it covers all foundations before moving to practitioner skills.

Diploma in Weight Management

No formal prerequisites. The course includes foundational nutrition science before moving to specialist weight management content.

Diploma in Iridology

Recommended: This course is designed for those who already hold (or are studying for) a practitioner qualification in a therapeutic discipline. It complements other therapies rather than standing alone.

If you're interested in iridology but don't have another qualification, please contact us to discuss whether the course is suitable for your goals.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you've already studied nutrition, health sciences, or related subjects, you may be able to receive credit or exemption for parts of our courses.

Examples of prior learning we consider:

  • Degrees or diplomas in nutrition, biology, biochemistry, or health sciences
  • Professional qualifications in related therapies (naturopathy, herbalism, etc.)
  • Previous study with other nutrition colleges
  • Physiology or anatomy training (for physiology exemption)

Contact us with details of your prior qualifications, and we'll assess what exemptions may apply.

International Students

We welcome students from around the world. Our distance learning model means you can study from anywhere with internet access.

For international students:

  • All materials are in English - you'll need good English reading and writing skills
  • Tutor support is available via email and video call (we can accommodate different time zones)
  • Our IICT accreditation is international, so your qualification is recognised globally
  • Fees are the same for all students, regardless of location

Note that regulations around nutritional therapy practice vary by country. Research your local requirements before enrolling if you plan to practise professionally.
